Private, always. The vessel is chartered for your booking alone, you, your partner, the crew and your photographer. This is the only proposal setting in Dubai where the guest list is genuinely fixed the moment you leave the marina, which is why couples who want no chance of an audience choose it.
Yes, and it is the setting we recommend most between June and September. On the water there is moving air and no radiated heat off sand or stone, and a late-afternoon or evening departure is comfortable when a beach at the same hour is not. Most of our desert and beach packages are listed for winter, spring and autumn only, the water packages are not.
Departures are from Dubai Marina, with routes past the Marina skyline, Bluewaters Island, Ain Dubai and Palm Jumeirah. The boho chic package instead runs the Dubai Water Canal, which puts the Burj Khalifa in your frame from the water, a different photograph from the standard Marina cruise, and the one most people have not seen before.
Typically two to three hours from boarding to return, with the proposal timed to the light rather than to the clock. Sunset packages depart to put you at the right point on the route at golden hour, which means the departure time moves through the year, we confirm it when your date is booked.
Yes. Prosecco is included in the styled setups, and a served menu can be added to any of the charters. Tell us dietary requirements when you enquire so the catering is built into the quote rather than added afterwards. Live entertainment also works well on board, a private saxophonist is AED 3,499 for 60 minutes.
A yacht gives you an enclosed saloon, a bow for the setup and a more formal feel; the Yacht Proposal at Sunset at AED 8,999 is built around the bow moment. A catamaran is broader, more stable and more social, with deck space for a larger group, it appears in the AED 13,999 Corvette, Catamaran and Chopper sequence and the AED 20,999 Rolls-Royce pairing.
The operator makes the safety call and we reschedule at no extra cost if a departure is cancelled. Dubai's coastal waters are calm for most of the year; the days that get cancelled are the windy ones in shoulder season. If your partner is prone to seasickness, tell us, the Water Canal route is markedly calmer than the open-water Marina cruise.
Yes, subject to the vessel's capacity. The usual arrangement is that guests board first and are below deck or at the stern when your partner comes aboard, then appear once the ring is on. Tell us guest numbers at the enquiry stage because it determines which vessel we charter.
