How much is a helicopter proposal in Dubai?
AED 8,999 including VAT for a private helicopter proposal. The flight is chartered for the two of you and routes over the coast, Palm Jumeirah and the Marina skyline. Photography is included as with every package, with coverage on the ground before boarding and after landing, since cabin space limits what can be shot in the air.
How much is a hot air balloon proposal in Dubai?
AED 10,999 plus VAT for the sunrise flight at 4,000 feet over the desert. For AED 13,999 an aircraft tows a custom banner carrying your message past the balloon at altitude, your partner reads it in the air, with the desert underneath and nowhere to go. That version needs the longest lead time because the banner and the airspace slot are booked together.
What is the best time of year for a hot air balloon ride in Dubai?
October to April, and always at dawn. Balloons fly when the air is coolest and most stable, which in the UAE means launching before sunrise. Between June and September flights are frequently unable to operate, so if your date falls in summer we would steer you to a helicopter or a water setting rather than sell you a flight that may not take off.
What happens if the flight is cancelled for weather?
The operator makes the call on the morning, on safety grounds, and we rebook at no extra cost. Wind is the deciding factor for balloons in particular. Because these are dawn flights, cancellations are known early, you will not spend a day waiting. If your travel dates are tight, tell us at booking and we will hold a backup date rather than a backup hope.
Can we propose during the flight itself?
Yes, that is the point of all three. For the balloon flights the pilot is briefed and will position the basket and manage the other passengers so the moment is yours. For the helicopter the cabin is private to you both. The banner package times its pass so your partner sees the message rather than the aircraft.
Is the balloon flight private?
The basket is typically shared with other passengers, which is standard for balloon operations in the UAE, a fully private basket is available on request and quoted separately. The pilot knows what is happening and positions you so the proposal reads as yours rather than as a group event. The helicopter, by contrast, is fully private at AED 8,999.
How long does a sky proposal take?
Around five hours door to door for the balloon flights, including the pre-dawn pickup, the inflation, roughly an hour in the air and a post-flight breakfast. The helicopter proposal is shorter, allow two to three hours including transfers and the pre-flight briefing.
Are there weight or health restrictions?
Both operators apply standard aviation limits and will ask about mobility, pregnancy, recent surgery and heart conditions at booking. Balloon landings can be firm, which is the main consideration. Tell us anything relevant when you enquire, it is far better handled at booking than at the launch site at 4:30 in the morning.
Can we get the proposal on camera in the air?
On the balloon flights, yes, the basket has room for a photographer and the light at dawn is exceptional. In the helicopter, cabin space and safety rules limit coverage, so the media package concentrates on the ground before and after, with in-flight footage captured on a mounted camera. You still receive the full 100 edited photographs and the highlight film.

At AED 13,999 plus VAT, a light aircraft tows a banner carrying your message past your hot air balloon at 4,000 feet. Your partner is airborne, the desert is beneath, and your words arrive out of the sky. It requires an airspace slot booked alongside the balloon flight, so allow four to six weeks and expect us to hold a weather backup date.
