How much does a desert proposal in Dubai cost?
From AED 6,499 to AED 17,499 including VAT across 12 packages. AED 3,299 covers a private 4x4 desert safari photoshoot proposal; AED 5,999 adds a styled sunset setup with 300 LED candles and a neon sign; AED 16,999 is the candlelit private desert oasis with 4,000 candles, a five-course butler-served dinner and a live Tannoura and fire show.
When is the best time of year for a desert proposal in Dubai?
October to April. Twelve of our thirteen desert packages are listed for winter, spring and autumn only, because daytime desert temperatures between June and September make an outdoor setup uncomfortable rather than romantic. In summer we move proposals to late evening, indoors, or onto the water instead, we will tell you honestly rather than sell you a package that will not land.
Where exactly in the desert do you set up?
In private areas of the Lahbab and Al Marmoom dune belts, roughly 45 minutes from Downtown Dubai, and at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort where the setting is a private pool villa, rooftop or gazebo. Every site is booked and permitted in advance for your evening, you are not sharing a dune with a tour group.
How long does a desert proposal take?
Three to five hours door to door, depending on the package. A photoshoot proposal runs about three hours; the sunset setups four; the full evening packages with dinner, a belly dancer and a fire show run four to five. Transfers are included in that time, both ways.
What happens if there is wind or a sandstorm?
We reschedule at no extra cost. Desert conditions turn quickly and a 2,000-candle setup in a crosswind is not the evening you booked. We monitor conditions in the days before and make the call early enough that nobody is standing in the car park deciding, we would rather move your date than deliver something compromised.
Can we bring family and friends to a desert proposal?
Yes. Guests travel in a separate vehicle and are positioned out of sight until the moment lands, so the surprise holds. Guest seating and refreshments can be added for up to ten people, and the larger evening packages (the luxury gazebo and the desert oasis) have the space for a celebration dinner afterwards.
Is the desert setup private or shared?
Entirely private. The site is exclusive to your booking for the evening. On the oasis and luxury gazebo packages the only other people present are your photographer, videographer, butler and the performers.
Do desert proposals include photography?
Yes, on all thirteen. A private photographer and videographer from our own team cover the arrival, the setup reveal and the proposal itself, and you receive 100 edited photographs, 10 retouched hero images, a highlight film, a portrait reel and all the raw footage. Desert light at golden hour is the easiest light in Dubai to shoot in, which is part of why the setting works so well.
Can we add a fire show or fireworks to a desert proposal?
Fire shows are already included in the Private Romantic Desert Escape, the Surprise Grand Finale and the Luxury Gazebo packages. Custom drone shows and private fireworks can be added to any desert setup and are priced per event, since the cost depends on airspace permits and payload. Cold pyro sparklers are AED 2,299 and are the quickest add.
Is a camel ride included?
On two packages. The Private Desert Safari Photoshoot Proposal at AED 3,299 includes camel riding as part of the experience, and the Private Desert Luxury Gazebo Proposal at AED 14,999 includes a camel ride at sunset immediately before the reveal. It can be added to other desert packages on request.
