Start with the season, not the setting

Dubai's calendar decides more than your budget does. October to April is peak: cool evenings, stable weather, and every outdoor setting available. June to September pushes you indoors, onto the water, or into the late evening, which is not a downgrade, but it does change the shortlist.

If your date is fixed and lands in summer, plan around it early. The best indoor and late-evening slots are the first to go.

Then pick the setting for the story, not the photo

The desert gives you privacy and gold light. The Marina gives you the skyline. A rooftop gives you the city without sand. A private villa gives you nobody else at all. All four photograph beautifully, so choose on the story rather than the image.

If your partner would hate being watched, rule out anything public before you look at prices.

Permits and privacy

Proposing in public is legal and common in Dubai. What matters is whether the location is booked and permitted for a setup, candles, furniture, signage, and a photographer all change the answer.

Every location we use is permitted in advance. If a planner cannot tell you who holds the permit, that is the question to keep asking.

Budget honestly

Beach setups start from AED 2,999 and desert from AED 4,999. Premium settings (yacht, rooftop, oasis) sit between AED 10,000 and 17,000. Fully bespoke luxury starts around AED 19,999. All prices include VAT.

The single biggest cost driver is exclusivity: holding a location so nobody else is in your photographs.
