You leave the city behind in a private Nissan Patrol 4x4, dune bashing and sandboarding into the Half Desert as the light starts to turn gold. She has no idea what's coming. The truck stops, and there it is: a heart shaped frame in her choice of red, white or pink, a neon sign asking the only question that matters, and 300 LED candles glowing against the sand. A floral and candle lit walkway leads her in over a rose petal rug. You get down on one knee, a chilled bottle of Prosecco waits for the yes, and a private photographer and videographer catch every second. She leaves with a handwritten note tucked into her bouquet and a story she'll tell for years.

Will she see the desert setup before I get to propose?
No. We build behind a dune line and the driver takes a route that keeps it hidden until you walk her over the last ridge. She sees it from about thirty metres out.
How long does a desert proposal take from pickup to drop off?
About four hours. Roughly forty five minutes of driving each way, half an hour of dune bashing, and the rest is yours on site.
What should she wear to a desert proposal without me tipping her off?
Tell her you booked somewhere nice for dinner. Flats or a block heel and a dress she can walk in. Sand destroys stilettos and she will be photographed for an hour.
Can we drive ourselves out to the desert location?
No. The setup sits on soft sand reached by a permitted 4x4 with a trained driver. A rental car will not make it and should not be attempted.
Is the half desert as good as the private oasis for photographs?
At sunset, yes. The oasis buys you water in frame and a longer evening. If you are proposing and heading back to the city for dinner, half desert does the job.
